My pedagogical commitment

  • A commitment to exploring interactive relationships between each other.
  • The essence of children is curiosity. Continuously engage in exploring the world with the same perspective as children.

WHY?

When I think about how I teach and what I do in the classroom, I remember my mentor. They were really good at making kids curious, like when they showed a bird nest in a tree, the ECE led them to explore it together. I observed the kids talking and working together; sometimes, they may have disagreements. This not only helps them get better at being social but also shows how important it is to have good relationships when learning. Inspired by what my mentor did and following the ideas in the BC Early Learning Framework, I want to make a place where kids can explore, learn about different things, and foster their social skills as a foundation for their future healthy relationships.
