When winter approaches and the soil becomes dormant, everything seems to be hibernated and silent.
What can we do to help the birds?
We provide children with tools and materials to make some bird feeders.
Mayameen, ” How can I put this on? I want to make a bird feeder for the bids. So they can have a lunch! “
Reesy, ” They had eaten them all. Let’s make bird feeders for them, and they will come back! “
We might not have the correct answer for supporting nature throughout the winter.
However, their effort during the process and their empathy for nature’s species have touched me.
As a future ECE, I believe that fostering children’s environmental awareness through activities that help them develop a sense of belonging in this world is a part of our responsibility.
